Hello Connect Community! We are excited to share with you our September release of Data.com Connect. In this release, we have several exciting new features to help you make every connection count.
Let’s take a look.
Data quality is #1. We know that you rely on the quality of our data to be successful. Therefore, you can now flag contacts that are incorrectly marked as direct dial. Once you own a contact, you can click “Phone number is not Direct Dial” to let us know that this number is not actually a direct dial phone number for that contact. You’ll have the option to contribute a more accurate direct dial number if you have one. In either case, you will receive five points for updating the contact, and that warm fuzzy feeling that you’re helping improve the quality of the Data.com Connect contact asset for the rest of the community.
We know that many of you often come across more updated company information and want to contribute your data to make Connect a better asset for everyone in the community. Now, when you see a smaller company that needs updating, you’ll be able to simply update the data and see the change be applied in minutes. You’ll also receive five points for making this contribution. You might notice that large companies in Connect don’t yet have an ‘update’ button. In a future release, we’ll enable you to suggest updates to these larger and often more complex companies. Our data stewards will validate these updates to ensure accuracy before the updates are applied so that we can all have great confidence in the data quality of these companies
Earning royalty points is is a great way to ensure you always have enough points for the contacts you want to purchase. We know that it is important to you to always know your royalty status on contacts. Now, in the My Contacts page, you can click Royalty Contacts to view the contacts for which you currently have royalty ownership, and you can filter them by the same filters that are available in search. You can also stay on top of your royalty contacts with a real-time Lost Royalty Report, which you can filter by the date you lost royalty ownership, and with our new royalty update email.
These are just the highlights of what is available in our September release. We have many more capabilities such as basic member profile pages and unlimited view for Data Defenders.
With all these great new features, and many more to come in our January release, we we feel more confident than ever that you can be successful on the Connect website. That's why, as of January 2014, we'll be retiring the Jigsaw.com website and upgrading all customers to Data.com Connect. To start getting ready for your upgrade to the new Connect site in January, and if you haven't tried it yet, we encourage you to start using the new site regularly to perform your searches, exports, contributions, and updates. Just click on the “Preview Now” button you see in the top right corner of the Jigsaw.com website, and you’l be directed to the new site.
