Last week we announced our Accepted Solutions Contest, where the Rainmaker who has the most of their answers in The Corner marked as Accepted Solutions before March 29, will win a flight to the Annual Rainmaker Event. You may still be wondering what these are, so let’s take a look.
What is an Accepted Solution?
An Accepted Solution is a post that has been marked as the best answer to the question asked. You’ll see them throughout The Corner marked by green checkmarks, like this:
Why are Accepted Solutions important?
The most important thing Accepted Solutions do is help people find helpful information quickly. Accepted solutions come up first in search results, so people can often find answers without even needing to post a question.
Accepted Solutions factor into your community tier, so it is also a great way to say thank you to someone who answered your question, while helping them climb the tiers in The Corner.
How can I mark a post as the Accepted Solution?
When someone posts a great answer, all you need to do is go to their post and click the blue “Accept as Solution” button, found under the kudos button:
If you see a good answer but didn’t post the question yourself, feel free to give your fellow community member a nudge and remind them how. You’ll be making the community that much stronger.
There is some great information in The Corner, and more is coming in every day. Let’s make sure it’s easy to find so everyone can benefit from all of your hard work!
