iPhone App Beta Testers Wanted!

Yes! Soon there will be an iPhone app in the App Store that will work with Jigsaw!

It's been an unforgettable 4 months for me working on the app, working with the Jigsaw team while they launch the Jigsaw Developer Program and assist me with testing and integrating the app with the Jigsaw system. Not to metion the invaluable advice.

We've done as much testing as we could but now it's time to ask the Jigsaw community for help. If you have an iPhone and can't wait to get your hands on an iPhone app that will let you search, download and export contacts directly to your iPhone Contacts app and don't mind sending me information about any strange behaviour you notice from the app, then please apply to be a beta tester by sending an email to betatesting@ixcitable.com.  Please include the following information in your email:

1) Your full name
2) iPhone hardware model
3) iPhone OS version
4) Unique Device ID (UDID - You can find this in iTunes by clicking on the Summary tab in the iPhone view and then clicking on the serial number. It will change to the UDID number, upon which you can choose Edit -> Copy from the main menu and then paste it into your email).

Then email it to betatesting@ixcitable.com. That's all!

If you do apply, I'm really looking forward to working with you as a beta tester, so we can get this app out to the App Store for the Jigsaw community to use and feedback on. Thanks!

Any plans for a blackberry or palm app down the road?

Re: iPhone App Beta Testers Wanted!

Certainly Blackberry is something I've given some thought to already. I've been too busy on this first app to really spend any significant time looking at the feasibility of it. But I do realise how popular Blackberry's are in business. I'll continue to keep apps for other platforms on the to do list.

iPhone Beta Test Problem

Hey guys, I am attempting to beta test your iPhone app and having difficulty.  Tried to sync on my computer with vista and could not get it to show.  then went to my other with xp, shows in the itunes but wont sync and show on the iphone.  when looking at the apps with the iphone connected to the computer and following the instructions it says it it there, and if you try to do the directions again it says its already there, but doesnt come up as an app.  Any pointers?  I am sure it operator error, but this operator is lost now.  JS

Re: iPhone Beta Test Problem

Hi JS, I hope you received my reply to your email regarding this issue. For others who may be experiencing similar problems ask yourself the following questions, and mail me the answers if you're not moving forward with this issue:

  • Have you copied the latest .mobileprovision file into iTunes as well as the actual app file?
  • If you use the iPhone Spotlight search and search for 'Ixcitable' you get no result on your iPhone?
  • You ensured that it's selected in the app manager in iTunes, and placed on one of the iPhone screens?
  •
