Man, I missed my chance last week to post this link to my favorite website: http://www.diddukewin.com/
However, a recap of last night's games include Purdue getting smacked by Kansas. A few of my colleagues are graduates of Purdue and many came to work today with frowns. Speaking of which, Kansas shot the lights out in the second half. I do hope they win it all since I have them selected to go all the way in our office pool.
In another game, Gonzaga survived a scare from WVU. I'm happy for the Zags since I have never been a fan of Bob Huggins. Any one with any knowledge of this coach during his time at Cincy will understand. He had a history at UC of recruiting players that are incapable of getting a SAT score good enough to get into college. Most players ended up being academically ineligible after their Freshman year. But I digress. It was a great final 2 minutes of basketball by both teams.
In a wild game between Arizona and Xavier, XU pulled off an upset after being down in the final minutes of the game. Always liked watching a small school like Xavier do well in the tournament.
Finally, Michigan put up a good fight, but it wasn't enough to hold off the Ducks from Oregon. You never hear much about basketball from Oregon, but we should all get used to it. They're looking strong this year.
Games tonight? Go Bulldogs from Butler? Received my MBA from Butler so of course I have to cheer them on the victory. I'm still sour from thier loss against Duke 5 years ago. Did I mention this wonderful website yet? http://www.diddukewin.com/
Then of course I have to cheer for UCLA. I've always been a fan of Steve Alford. He's doing a great job of bringing basketball prominence back to UCLA. Just wish he was inspired to return to his alma mater. Besides, I've never liked KU or Calipari. Reference Bob Huggins.
Finally, I don't have a dog in the fight between Baylor/SC or Wisc/FL.
